Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It is a way for book bloggers to gain followers and make new friends. To join, all you have to do is answer the weekly question, and then follow as many blogs (that are also participating in F&F) as you can! You follow them, they follow you.
I prefer GFC and bloglovin' follows. If you've just followed me, let me know below so I can follow you back.
This week's question: Do you decide in advance what you read for the coming week or month? Why / why not? - Suggested by Unconventional Book Views.
I don't decide on which specific books to read. Instead, I split them into two categories: books I can read fast, and books I need more time to read. I also choose the books I want to read based on my urge to read them. If I've heard great things about a certain book and I want to find out what happens, I'll move it up my to-read list. But for books that I've gotten from a publisher to review, then those books will definitely come first.
That is a good idea with the two categories. :)

Sorry I meant GFC follower
DeleteI agree! Review books take priority. Since it's final exam season I have very few of those (I purposely left my schedule clear) so it has been good getting to read just my "fun" books! New follower on Bloglovin :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my F&F!
Thanks for stopping by, Tracy! Following you on Bloglovin as well. x
DeleteNew GFC and Bloglovin' Follower!
ReplyDeleteI like how you split your books into two categories. That helps to decide what to read next much more easier! :)
Here's my F&F for this week.

ReplyDeleteI'm a new bloglovin follower. *waves*
Here is my post.
Have a great weekend.
Haha I totally understand you when it come to scheduling books I want to read. But also books provided by publishers can sometimes be really difficult in my opinion. Certainly if the book has to be read in a week or two.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower, God I adore your blog! I love the combination of black, white and pink. I really, really do. (Don't mind my jealousy)

Sounds like a great method! I just read whatever I feel like in the moment unless they're review books. I'm a new GFC follower ;)
ReplyDeleteEileen @ BookCatPin
Love your method. I usually plan, but I also read based on my TBR pile :)

That's pretty much how I operate too. I usually move my personal "wants" up the TBR list before I schedule in review requests. www.thebookcove.com New BL follower
ReplyDeleteFollowed you back, Jessi. x
DeleteLove your way of reasoning! I tend to push the publisher reviews to the very top too, which ultimately throws my "schedule" off, but it's fun! :)
ReplyDeleteSparrow's F&F
I do that too! But reviews are always the priority for me.
DeleteThanks for visiting! Will check out your blog now. xx
Yep, review books take priority. It's just organising those that gets tricky.
